Basic
Primer on Ethics for Court Reporters
(Check your monthly FJTN Bulletin for dates and
times)
Designed Primarily for: Federal official court reporters.
Length: One hour
Description: Court
reporters, particularly newly employed reporters, need to know
how to manage their encounters with judges, attorneys, and
litigants as they work in and around a courtroom and courthouse
— especially when those interactions can directly impact their
income. This broadcast is intended to serve as a training
program for staff court reporters and substitute and contract
reporters. Judges and attorneys may also benefit from this
training because of the need for ethical relationships with the
court reporters and other participants in court proceedings.
